Michael Korczynski - Director / Chiropractor

Michael was born and raised in Kingston in the Henderson Place / Reddendale area.  As an active youth, he was involved in competive soccer, swimming, basketball, and golf. To this day, sport science and exercise remains a passion as he continues to run marathons and compete in triathalons while enjoying friendly competition in and out of the gym.

Michael attended The University of Western Ontario for his undergraduate degree in health science and biology. It was here that he decided to pursue complementary alternative medicine and enrolled at Macquarie University in Sydney (Australia) to gain his Master's and Doctorate in chiropractic sciences. After working and living abroad for the past seven years, he decided to make the move back to Kingston which has always remained home to him. In Australia Michael worked as a primary chiropractic clinician and also taught at Dunmore Lang College and Macquarie University in the faculty of science where he instructed graduate students on chiropractic skills, medical microbiology, pathology, and advanced differential diagnosis. His strong love of academia has led to publications and contributions most notable in Differential diagnosis for the physical and manipulative therapies : a case-based approach - Beirman (2011). It is this passion that drives his chiropractic practice to maintain and incorporate the most up-to-date medical literature and standards.

He firmly believes that chiropractic has the ability to help improve people's quality of life. It is not the answer in and of itself, but rather when utilized with exercise, nutrition, stress managament, and allopathic medicine that one's health can be optimized. Michael prides himself on his straight forward approach to chiropractic care through incorporation of adjustments, soft tissue work, and rehabilitative exercise programs. It is this multimodal therapeutic approach that not only helps yield improvements but helps to prevent regression and future return of pain and dysfunction.
